ANDREW MCCASKILL: The state of the job market is incredibly competitive right now. Hiring is down year over year. We are also seeing about 50% of Americans right now are in the job market, or say that they’re going to be looking for a job in 2025. That number goes up to 62% for Latinos and about 64% for African-Americans. The market is incredibly competitive. We’re looking at the jobs numbers, but we’re also taking into consideration the more than like 250,000 federal workers who are now entering into the job market. And we’re all wondering, is the private sector going to be able to absorb all of that talent?
I think across the board, we’re going to see strong hiring in your sort of economy agnostic industries. If you look at education, if you look at health care, even looking at things like law enforcement, these are industries that are going to be almost recession proof or economy proof. But I still think it’s really important to start to look at sectors like Technology, looking at other sectors like Media. Some of those roles inside of those companies are still going to be really viable. Companies are going to need people doing HR. They’re going to need people doing Communications. They’re going to need some of those vital skill sets regardless of the industry.
